Hello, my friends.
Are you enjoying the winter? Just imagine, it is almost spring! In a couple of weeks Valentine's Day will be here. The season of Lent will soon follow, and before you can blink, it will be spring.
Ah, well, let us not rush the time. Let us linger in the lovely atmosphere created by the thoughts of love that the Valentine season brings.
There are several different meanings for the word, "love." However, in the English language, we tend to use the one word to describe various types of love. We love our cars; we love our jobs; we love our significant others; we love our pets; and so forth. Although we use the same word, "love," the meanings and the feelings being expressed maybe vastly different.
There is erotic love or physical love; Storge or family love; Philia or affectionate/brotherly love; and there is agape love or love between people generally and between man and God.
Of course, these terms have shades of differences even in their common usage.
Whatever the usage, the word, "love," indicates that there are feelings and attractions among humans that make us responsible for each other. Yes, we are our brother's keeper.
Yes, we must love each unconditionally without judging.
The journey through life is not always easy. It can be filled with all kinds of challenges. Love is the power that helps us get through those challenges; love for the Creator, love for ourselves, and love for each other.
Love shows itself in many different ways. It is respectful; it is kind; it is thoughtful; it is unselfish; it is patient; it is inspiring; it is forgiving. It looks for the best in all situations.
Love is always in season. Love is the key to all sorts of good and abundance.
Show love and see how fast your blessings grow.
Peace and blessings!
