Hello, Friends. I wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. May all of your best dreams come true.
I hope you have put forth some effort to make your great dreams a reality. Unfortunately, for many of us, none of the "good stuff" will come into fruition because we will not do what is necessary to make it so.
Procrastination, that thief of time, will probably get in the way, deferring our dreams for yet another year. How sad! Already some of us have cast aside those wonderful dreams until, "a better time in the future."
Actually, there is no better time to pursue your dreams than right now. Now is the day that was the future yesterday and tomorrow is the next now.
Life is given to us in increments of, "Now." We only have, "now." If we do not take advantage of, "now," we really do not have any life. We are wasting precious time.
Of all the commodities of which we are aware, time is one of the few that cannot be replaced. Once it is gone, it does not repeat itself. That makes time very valuable. Why waste it?
Procrastination continues to be a powerful force in the prevention of dream fulfillment. In spite of the multitude of self-help books, lectures, work shops, etc., on the prevention or cure of procrastination, it continues to be a dominant force for dream deferment.
Simply put, procrastination is not doing what you need to do to accomplish what you want to do. It is the "tomorrow" syndrome. "I'll do it (whatever,"it" is.) tomorrow." But, Ecclesiastes 9:10 tells us to do, "it," today for we do not know what tomorrow brings. Each day has its own troubles. (Matthew 6:34)
Could it be that we put off making our dreams come true because we do not realize or recognize how truly wonderful we are? We are, "wonderfully made." Psalms 139:14
There is within us a power that gives us the ability to get things done. BUT, it is up to us to use that power. No amount of coaching or prodding will make us stop procrastinating until we come to the realization of how great we really are and how detrimental procrastination is to our well-being.
Procrastination is costly. It steals not only our dreams, but our time, our self-esteem, our future, and it stresses us out.
So, whatever your plans are for a better life, a joyful life, and a great future, why not put them in action NOW! Make those great dreams come true.
Blessings and Peace
